The Staff Accountant will assist in the preparation of the monthly financial reports to track the
organization’s assets, liabilities, results of operations, and other related financial activities.
Perform general accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
Assist in the preparation of periodic (monthly) financial statements in accordance with
generally accepted accounting principles
Maintains the general ledger.
Reconcile and analyze all asset and liability accounts on a monthly basis and investigate
Review and analyze all revenue and expense accounts, identify any variances from
Reconcile bank accounts at least monthly, verify that all deposits are classified and
Provides outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and
documents to perform annual audit.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business required.
Two years of accounting experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Knowledge of accounting for a nonprofit entity preferred.
Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
Highly proficient with accounting software; knowledge and experience with Abila MIP
accounting software for nonprofits desirable.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Compensation: $48,000 – 60,000 based upon knowledge and experience
