Human Resources/Training Internship
The Human Resources/Training Intern is responsible for providing administrative support to the training and quality assurance department. This position requires an individual who can exercise a great deal of independent judgment and who is able to work on their own, be proactive and possess an ability to problem solve. This individual will provide support for some functions, as well as take ownership of several projects in the department. This individual is the ambassador for the resort, taking full ownership of all primary communication to all internal and external customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Training:
- Prepare training communication materials for both orientation and ongoing training needs, ensuring both facilitators and attendees understand the dates, times, locations, and objective of the training.
- Coordinate training classes to include maintaining the training calendar, booking training rooms, equipment, F&B, communication and tracking (sign-ups and attendance) and room set up.
- Prepare the documents necessary for weekly orientation, which include creating orientation folders for each new associate, making photocopies, and compiling the folders.
Office Administration:
- Assist in the data entry and electronic storage of training information.
- Establish and maintain office supplies for the training department and place purchasing orders as needed.
- Provide clerical support to the training department: copying, faxing, scanning, typing of documents, correspondence, and projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s degree in Business or a related discipline or one to two years of experience in Human Resources, Psychology, Leadership Development, Training or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Must be able to speak English.
- Previous experience in customer service.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint is a plus.
