We are seeking to fill a key position in our Falling Rock hotel that is responsible for delivering meals to guests according to rules of etiquette, working in a formal setting to create a restaurant experience within the guest rooms, condos, and private homes on the property, answering questions referring to food preparation and ingredients. Be familiar with food and wine pairings appropriate for the In-Room Dining Menu. Respond to any additional requests and accept payment.
Duties:
The following description of job responsibilities and standards are intended to reflect the essential functions of the position. This outline does not detail every aspect of the position and there may be other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Employment Responsibilities:
- Setting dining tables in accordance with Nemacolin standards for all orders. Maintain the table once in a guest room when serving courses.
- Maintain all hot food hot and cold food cold to assure complete guest satisfaction.
- Delivering orders in a courteous and timely manner, delivering food by course where possible to assure the proper pace and maintain the highest quality food and service.
- Observe guests and respond to questions or concerns and create a restaurant experience in the guest's room.
- Accept payment.
- Perform opening and closing side work; keep work area clean
- Present, open, and perform wine service in accordance with Nemacolin standards.
- Picking up dirty trays and tables.
- Relay special requests to the chef.
- Maintaining service bar in guests' rooms.
- Charging items purchased to guest folios
- Rotating mini bar product
- Calculating closing paperwork
- End of month inventory
Customer Service Responsibility:
- Room service deliveries must be completed in a courteous and timely manner.
- An accurate inventory of minibar and room service stock
- Create new business and avoid guest complaints
- Safety and housekeeping of room service area and entire hotel.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have excellent verbal communication skills
- Must be able to speak English.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Very customer orientated individuals required.
