Position Description




To serve as the liaison between the neighborhood groups of the Northside Leadership Conference and Allegheny General Hospital in the implementation of the Northside Partnership Agreement for the purpose of supporting and advancing the comprehensive revitalization of the Northside.




  • This position reports directly to the Executive Director of NSLC
  • This position works closely with the Sr. Vice President of Allegheny General Hospital
  • This position may, from time to time, supervise staff or and/or interns
  • This position works cooperatively with other staff of NSLC.
  • This position works cooperatively with volunteers and staff of neighborhoods and partners






  • Fulfill the obligations as described in the Northside Partnership Agreement including the areas of neighborhood reinvestment, education and employment, addressing social determinants of health, and health and wellness
  • Assist in the planning, development and implementation of Partnership activities including but not limited to: Annual Health Programming at the Northside Farmers’ Market, Health Outreach at Community Events, Health fairs (including free health screenings, vaccines, etc.)
  • Assist in the planning, development and implementation of new programs and initiatives in response to community needs. Be an integral part of the hospital’s Community Needs Health Assessment (CNHA).
  • Assist in the development and negotiation of the biennial Partnership Agreement. *Depends on new agreement
  • Organize and staff Partnership Committees. *Depends on new agreement
  • Attend and represent the Partnership at hospital and community meetings, and events.
  • Write grant proposals as related to Partnership Agreement activities.
  • Serve as contact person between neighborhood groups and Allegheny General Hospital regarding mutual issues of concern.
  • Serve as representative and staff support to the Northside Health Improvement Partnership (NSHIP).








  • Compile documentation on participation, impacts and other measurable outcomes
  • Produce reports on events and initiatives as required
  • Prepare monthly invoices and other reimbursement requests
  • Prepare grant reports


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 2 years experience with community development, neighborhood groups and/or institutional partnerships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Successful event organizing experience
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills




$35,000 - $50,000 commensurate with experience. Health Insurance, Life and Disability Insurance, vacation, 403(b) plan, and paid holidays.
