Commercial Locksmith and Door Hardware Specialist

About Us: Scherer Lock and Supply is a dynamic and growing provider of commercial door and locking systems in Pittsburgh, PA. We are seeking an experienced and skilled Commercial Locksmith and Door Hardware Specialist to join our team. This role involves a combination of locksmithing and the installation and maintenance of commercial door hardware. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Installing and maintaining door hardware including all manner of locks including electrified
• Install, service, and replace cylinders, door closers, hinges, panic devices
• Installation and service of automatic operators
• Performing rekeying services and master key system setups
• Conducting commercial door and frame rip out and replacements
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues with door hardware and locking systems
• Participate in rotating on call schedule 

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a locksmith with expertise in commercial door hardware installation
• Strong knowledge of electronic locks, cylinders, door closers, and automatic handicap operators
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
