LEAD PHARMACIST (Multiple Openings) – UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh seeks multiple Lead Pharmacists in Pittsburgh, PA to ensure timely provision of cost-effective drug therapy contributing to optimal patient outcomes, provide experiential education for present and future health care practitioners and support drug-related research. Coordinate activities of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Contribute to patient care activities supporting a variety of patient populations, ranging from neonates to adults. Evaluate each patient's medication order/prescription for appropriateness of drug selection, drug dosage and dosage form, taking into consideration patient specific factors. Must have a Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent, in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related field plus one (1) year of experience as a Pharmacist. Must have a valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license. Some telecommuting permissible.
