The Corporate and Foundation Relations Manager is responsible for growing the corporate and foundation giving programs to fund projects, programs, and initiatives across the Vincentian system. Working with leadership and facility staff the Manager of Corporate and Foundation Relations draft and submit grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and government agencies; research funding sources; and prepare grant progress reports and other grant-related stewardship activities.

The Manager of Corporate and Foundation Relations supports Vincentian initiatives by building robust corporate partnerships that go beyond just event sponsorship and contribute to Vincentian event management. The Manager of Corporate and Foundation Relations is a critical member of the Development team and directly contributes to the effort to achieve ambitious fundraising goals.

What You'll Do:

  1. Research foundation and government funding opportunities; match potential funding opportunities with Vincentian projects and programs; and disseminate information on funding opportunities to leadership and appropriate staff.
  2. Develop grant proposals with leadership and staff, including providing project outlines, writing and editing project narratives, reviewing financial budgets, ensuring compliance with funder guidelines, and submitting within required deadlines.
  3. Work with leadership and staff to comply with grant reporting requirements, including writing and editing narrative progress reports, compiling and reviewing financial reports, and ensuring that grant-funded projects are in compliance with institutional policies and federal regulations.
  4. Design and implement a robust, year-round corporate partnership program that incorporates event and program sponsorships, employee engagement opportunities, and other benefits for the companies.
  5. Work closely with the Executive Director to enact the corporate fundraising strategy by prospecting, meeting, pitching, and coordinating sponsorship and underwriting opportunities.
  6. Research and keep prospect list of corporations, foundations, vendors, Chamber Members, etc. up to date in the development CRM.
  7. Work on special events in tandem with other development team members including planning; pre-, day-of and post-event management; securing in-kind donations; logistics, etc.

What We Look For:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  2. Three to five years foundation relations and grant-writing experience.
  3. At least two years’ experience in corporate sponsorship.
  4. Exemplary written communication and grammar skills, excellent verbal communication skills, and expert ability to quickly and effectively tailor all types of communication.
  5. Creative thinking and problem-solving; ability to assess organizational needs and develop creatively effective plans to address those needs.
  6. Highly flexible, independent self-starter; able to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities; ability to work under tight deadlines and plan, organize, and carry out multiple detailed tasks.
  7. Strong project management, planning, organization, and time management skills.
  8. Proficient in using and managing digital media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, website content management) and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with photo and video editing PC software.
  9. Must be able to travel and work evenings and weekends, as necessary
