Description

The Patient Access Associate is responsible for performing registration procedures for incoming patients and occasional pre-registration for applicable outpatient cases, establishing and/or maintaining a patient's medical record by collecting necessary demographic, clinical, and financial information for all patients, and entering this information into the Washington Health System computer system while maintaining complete confidentiality in regard to all information received.

Must have minimum one (1) year prior billing experience in healthcare setting.

Shift:  Rotating Shifts  6a-4:30p, 7:30a-6p; 12p-10:30p,330p-1:30a; 10p-8a,

Hours Per Week:  40 Per Week

Qualifications
Education

Required

High School/GED or better.

Experience

Required

1 year: billing/business office, physician’s office or similar setting.

Preferred

Experience in a hospital or health care admissions/registration environment preferred.
