The Education Department at Waynesburg University is seeking applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Education beginning August 2022. Completed doctorate preferred or working toward a doctorate in an educational related field. Candidate must have experience with educational technology integration. A minimum of five years teaching experience in K-12 technology education, secondary math, or science with active public school teaching certification(s) in 7-12 math or science and Instructional Technology Specialist certification is preferred. Background and certification in special education is preferred. The successful candidate will teach twelve credit hours per semester and may supervise student teachers in the field. Background and curricular needs will dictate which courses will be scheduled. In addition, the individual will be expected to perform normal teaching duties at the college level including advising at the undergraduate level; mentoring and supervising student teachers and field experiences; developing, reviewing, and revising curriculum; participating in service to the University and to the department, the discipline, and the local community. Successful candidates must demonstrate a strong Christian faith, a commitment to the University’s Mission and a demonstrated commitment to that faith, through his/her professional responsibilities, teaching, relationships, and the mentoring of students. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
